Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at 2:48PM Bangkok Garden was one of the first restaurants to bring traditional Thai cuisine and culture to Toronto over 28 years ago, and is acclaimed as one of North America's premier Thai restaurants.

The food is authentic, based on the Thai principle of balancing the five tastes: sweet, hot, sour, salty and bitter. Seafood, silky rich curries, exotic soups, barbequed and fiery-to-not-so fiery stir-fried dishes offer an approach to Thai cuisine found nowhere else in Canada.
Bangkok Garden represents classical Thai cuisine and the cooking has its origins in the Royal Court. Fresh coriander leaf and root, lemon grass, the fresh leaf and peel of the kaffier lime, kha root (a cousin of ginger with a milder bouquet) and the hottest chillies in the world make Thai dining a unique experience.
Bangkok Garden keeps monosodium glutamate out of the kitchen. Fresh lime juice is used to bring out natural flavours and fruit sugars are used for sweetening. The typical main meal includes rice or noodles, curry, stir-fried dishes and soup. Tastes within a dish as well as within a meal are carefullly blended to stimulate each of the five taste sensations.
