    Leftover Lovers

Restaurants always seem to have large portion sizes that more often are too much to eat all at once. That being said, who doesn’t love leftovers? Simply pack your leftovers into containers and refrigerate for dinner tomorrow! This doesn’t mean you have to reheat for a dinner repeat…why not use some of these great ideas we found online for ways to revamp your leftovers into a whole new meal!

    Using Leftover Chicken

    Make chicken salad.

Put the chicken on top of a fresh green or Caesar salad.

Chop it up and add it to coleslaw

    Put it in soup

Put it in a casserole such as a chicken pot pie

Make a chicken quesadilla with tortillas, salsa, and cheese, then fill it with whatever toppings you like.

    Leftover Steak

Sliced-up steak is great for a stir-fry, sauté it with veggies, soy sauce, ginger, and a little sesame oil. Serve over rice or eat on it its own.

Put it on a green salad.

    Make fajitas out of it.

Wrap in tortilla with mushrooms, peppers and cheese for a new take on a traditional Philly cheese streak sandwich.

    Leftover Fish

It's not just tuna that can be mixed with mayonnaise and made into a salad. Do it with any fresh fish.

Serve it on top of a salad.

Salmon is good in egg dishes, such as homemade quiche.

    Leftover Hamburger

Hamburger or meat and vegetable mixtures can be used to make stuffed peppers, zucchini, or eggplant.

Crumble and use as the basis for a sloppy Joe sandwich.

Combine with veggies, spices and tomato paste for a hearty pasta sauce.

    Leftover Chili

    Make a chili cheese omelet.

Put over a hotdog with cheese for a mouthwatering chilidog.

Put over pasta for a spicy sauce with a kick.

    Leftover Veggies

Vegetables can be thrown into almost anything:

    Soups

    Casseroles

    Quiches

    Mix into scrambled eggs.

Mix into stir-fries or other skillet meals

Leftover Chinese Food (or other Asian)

Asian sauces, or dishes with these sauces already on them, are great for just adding more protein (including tofu) and vegetables to.

Many Asian dishes are good as omelet fillings.

Next time your left with food extras after dinner ordered in, why not revamp it into something new and exciting for dinner tommorow!
